Background & Experience

She has supported children with a wide range of developmental and learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay, and sensory processing differences.
Approach
Junn May believes that the first step in supporting positive change for neurodivergent children is through meaningful engagement, with play at the centre of therapy. Therapy sessions and goals are carefully tailored to each child’s unique learning needs and challenges, following a child-led, strength-based approach.
She works collaboratively with relevant stakeholders across different settings-including home and school-to maximise participation in everyday occupations. Using coaching strategies, she partners closely with parents to support their child’s learning and help navigate daily challenges, empowering families to be active participants in their child’s development.
Junn May actively seeks opportunities to develop professionally by staying up to date with the latest research, attending professional development courses and engaging in continuous learning to enhance her clinical practice.
Personal
Outside of work, Junn May enjoys travelling, practicing Pilates and exploring cuisines from around the world. She also enjoys cooking simple meals for friends and family, which allows her to unwind and recharge. These personal pursuits help her bring energy, creativity and positivity to her work with children.
