Sarah has experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings such as hospitals, specialist schools, early intervention centres and private practices in Australia and Singapore. Sarah is passionate about helping children become more independent in life, working in ways to improve their motor skills, handwriting, sensory and emotional regulation. She is committed to looking for opportunities to build on her own skill set through professional development and workshops.
Approach
Sarah is a passionate Occupational Therapist that values the importance of developing relationships with the children she sees as well as their caregivers through a family-centred practice. She believes that working closely with parents, caregivers, teachers and other professionals is a vital part of creating a supportive environment for the child. She strives to ensure that therapy with the child is creative, enjoyable and engaging to help motivate the child to learn quickly and enthusiastically, ensuring they go on to reach their fullest potential. Sarah understands that each child is an individual and tailors her approach to suit their needs and likes.
Personal
Sarah uses her free time to get outside in nature, visiting different cafes and going on forest hikes with her dog. She also enjoys building LEGO and painting by numbers as a way to unwind.
