Background & Experience
Inthu’s passion for working with children lead her to the be a paediatric Occupational therapist. She is experienced at working in both clinical and school settings. Inthu has a special interest in coaching children and teenagers in the areas of emotional development, social competencies, executive function skills, play engagement and learning. As an OT she also assists children with sensory integration and motor planning to facilitate the individual’s functional participation across various settings. Inthu continues to actively participate in professional training to advance her knowledge and skills in these areas.
Approach
As a strong believer of the perspective that “kids do well if they can”, Inthu’s approach to therapy is strengths based and focuses on meeting the individual where they are at, building a positive relationship as a foundation for collaborative work.
She believes that parents and caregivers play an essential role in facilitating their children’s progress and values working in close collaboration with the family, teachers and other professionals working with the child. Inthu is always keen to share knowledge and strategies to support the child beyond the clinical setting.
Personal
Outside of work, Inthu enjoys reading, writing stories for children, listening to music and being in nature.
