Background & Experience
Wanda is a Speech and Language Therapist with 6 years of experience working with children in schools, hospitals and private practices. She has undertaken many courses to increase her expertise including: Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Targets (PROMPT) Technique, Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding, Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words and Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme (NDP-3). Wanda has worked with children who have speech sound disorders, language delays and disorders, literacy difficulties, selective mutism, social communication disorder, fluency disorders, and feeding or swallowing disorders. Wanda is fluent in Bahasa as well as English and is happy to conduct Therapy sessions in both languages.
Approach
Regardless of age or diagnosis, Wanda tailors her sessions to meet the needs of every client. She adopts play-based and neurodiversity-affirming approaches that focus on each child’s strengths in her sessions. She also actively involves other professionals and caregivers in therapy, ensuring that the most supportive environment is created for the children she sees. Wanda has a genuine, caring personality that helps her build strong connections with her clients and their families.
Personal
Born in Jakarta, Wanda has worked, lived and studied in Singapore, Australia and the UK. In her spare time Wanda likes to cook and bake and enjoys painting with oils.
